The inflation in Ukraine year-on-year in July has increased up to 10.2% as the State Statistics Service reported.

In July 2021, the customer prices grew by 0.1% in comparison with June.

The basic inflation in July 2021 made 0.1% in comparison with June 2021 and it made 4.2% in comparison with the beginning of the year.

It is noted that at the consumer's market, the prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages reduced by 0.1%. Mostly, the vegetables became cheaper by 8.1%. Meanwhile, the prices for sunflower oil, fat and fruit have reduced by 0.7-0.5%. At the same time, sugar became more expensive by 6.7%; meat and meat products, butter, dairy products, sour cream and eggs – by 0.8-0.3%.

According to the Statistics Service, the price for alcohol and tobacco products increased by 0.8%.

Clothes and shoes became cheaper by 5.2%.

The growth of prices for accommodation, water, electricity, gas, and other types of fuels took place mostly due to the increase of prices for natural gas by 3.3%, renting of accommodation – by 0.7%. The prices for transport grew by 1.1% due to the increase of fuel and oils by 2.7% and prices for passengers transport increased by 2.4%.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine's inflation will exceed ten percent per annum but will slow down at the end of 2021 with a subsequent return to the five percent point in 2022.
