The International Monetary Fund continues to maintain a permanent dialogue with Ukraine within the framework of the EFF extended financing program, but is not yet ready to name the date of the next tranche. This was said during a press briefing by the director of the IMF's press office, Gerry Rice, writes Ukrinform.
At the moment, the date of the visit of the assessment mission to Ukraine to provide the next tranche has not been determined.
According to Rice, the discussion with the Ukrainian authorities is "permanent." He also recalled that recently an IMF expert group was in Kyiv, where they discussed "technical issues" in the context of the reform program.
"The discussion covered various issues, including the draft law on an anti-corruption court," Rice stressed.
The IMF representative noted "the need to achieve further progress in Ukraine", as well as the implementation of steps "including in the energy sector, fiscal policy and anti-corruption efforts."
"I can tell you that this discussion continues and will be continue for the next weeks," Rice summarized.
