The IMF mission arrived in Ukraine for negotiations. Oleksiy Honcharuk, the Prime Minister of Ukraine said so at a briefing after the Cabinet session.
"Th IMF mission came to Ukraine now, and our colleagues began to negotiate. I think, next week we'll be able to come up with a report on it. So far, it is too soon to speak of any results", Honcharuk said.
The talks will last until September 24.
"Our task is for the IMF counterparts to leave Kyiv with the so-called Staff Level Agreement, a technical level agreement. It concerns launching the program in the end of the year. The task will be completed, I have no doubts about it, and I'm sure that neither Privatbank issue nor any other issue will become a problem. We'll reach the common ground with the IMF on all the discussed matters", Honcharuk said.
Previously, the Premier claimed that the government and the IMF would negotiate on a new three- or four-year cooperation program.
IMF Mission promised to come to Ukraine after the new government defined its priorities and started working.
