“Today, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Honcharuk, after meeting with the IMF mission, stated that the priority of the government's work is to sell land, state-owned enterprises and sign a new agreement with the IMF. The election promises have already been forgotten. Ukraine has regained its power, which, instead of worrying about citizens, will follow the IMF's instructions”. This is submitted in the statement of the Opposition Platform - For Life party, published on the official website.
Opposition Platform - For Life requires the government to urgently develop the national economy and reduce tariffs, raise the subsistence level, wages, and pensions, guarantee full and timely financing of social assistance and benefits, guarantee access to quality and free medical care and normal ambulance work. The constitutional duty of the authorities is to protect the rights and interests of the people of Ukraine, and not to prevent creditors for the sake of another filing.
The fraction calls for radical changes in public policy: "In its activities, the government is obliged to be guided by the interests of the Ukrainian people. It has to stop the precautionary measures regarding creditors and implement the public policy for the benefit of Ukrainian citizens, the Ukrainian economy and the Ukrainian state".
“We have developed an alternative draft state budget for 2020. We suggest an economic development budget, a welfare state's budget, and we will seek its adoption. We will fight for the Ukrainian state to work for Ukrainian citizens and not serve the interests of creditors. Ukraine needs peace and economic development, not war and new debts. This is the will of Ukrainian people, which the authorities must fulfill!", - the statement says.
