IMF expert group starts work in Ukraine

The group of experts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Ron van Rooden has started its work in Kyiv as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

It is noted that the government found difficult to determine an exact date of the end of the visit. Preliminary, the IMF representatives will work in Kyiv until mid of the next week.

On February 18, it was reported that the International Monetary Fund's expert team will visit Kyiv in order to discuss technical policies aimed at achieving economic growth and stability.

As we reported, the International Monetary Fund noted the progress of Ukraine in holding of the reforms. It also expects the fulfillment of the approved preliminary measures for the final agreement of the new three-year EFF program for $5.5 billion by board of directors.

Earlier, Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Ukraine Gosta Ljungman provided three scenarios of Ukraine's possible development over the next 20 years –complete reform, partial reform and rollback of reforms.
