IMF confirms forecast of GDP growth in Ukraine by 2% in 2017

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) confirmed the forecast for GDP growth in Ukraine by 2% in 2017. This is stated in the regional economic survey for May 2017.

According to the IMF, GDP growth in 2017 will be at the level of 2%, and in 2018 - of 3.2%.

The dynamics of domestic demand will be 4% in 2017 and 3.9% in 2018. Real growth in exports: 2% - in 2017 and 3.4% - in 2018.

The IMF forecasts private consumption growth of 3.1% in 2017 and 2.9% in 2018.

Earlier, in connection with the blockade of uncontrolled territories and the loss of control over the enterprises located there, International Monetary Fund worsened the forecast for the growth of Ukraine's gross domestic product in 2017 from 2.9% to 2%, and slightly improved it for 2018 - from 3% to 3.2%.

The Fitch international rating agency also forecasts GDP growth of Ukraine in 2017 by 2%.
