The High Court of Justice is to hold a hearing on the PrivatBank claim against its former owners Ihor Kolomoisky and Henadiy Boholyubov and others connected to them, according to the agenda of the court.
The hearing is scheduled for 10:30 GMT on Feb. 27 and Judge Joanna Smith is to oversee the hearing.
As we reported earlier, on Dec. 19, the High Court of England issued an order for the worldwide seizure of assets of former owners and managers of PJSC Privatbank Ihor Kolomoisky and Henadiy Boholyubov.
According to the information, such decision was made on the basis of the provided evidence that Kolomoisky and Boholyubov illegally withdrew almost 2 billion dollars from the bank. It is noted that the funds were transferred to companies that they secretly owned or controlled. Now, Privatbank intends to return this amount with interest. In total, it amounts to 2.5 billion dollars.
Kolomoisky himself says that the money didn’t leave the bank, but was given out in the framework of restructuring the loan portfolio to the companies that had paid out the loans of former borrowers.
