Healthcare Ministry suggests list of vaccines to be procured with state funds in 2018

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine has proposed for consideration a draft list of biologicals for patients with infectious diseases that are associated with high levels of lethality, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

This includes pharmaceutical goods for the cure of such diseases as diptheria, hydrophobia, tetanus, botulism, malaria, which are going to be procured through international organizations with state funds in 2018.

Suggestions are accepted until 20 February 2018.

The state budget for 2018 provides for the allocation of $218.5 million for the procurement of meducines, medical products and biologicals through international organizations.

The Deputy Head of the Healthcare Ministry Olha Stefanyshyna that Ukraine may adopt long-term planning of vaccine procurement in 2018.
