Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says that the external debt of Ukraine amounts to 83% of the country’s GDP, as he said in an interview for Forbes.Georgia.
“Ukraine’s foreign debt is 83% to be more precise,” specifying the number the reporter announced (81%).
He also reminded that in February 2014, when Arseniy Yatsenyuk became the prime minister of Ukraine, the State Treasury had only $10,000 left (in February 2014 there was 108 000 UAH on Treasury’s account).
The National Bank of Ukraine informed that the external debt of Ukraine grew by 2.06% in the third quarter of 2017, and amounted to $117.350 billion.
