Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman explained why in January this year the national currency rate is falling. In particular, according to him, this is due to the decrease in exports and the continuation of payments abroad.

"There was a fall, it (the hryvnia exchange rate, - Ed.) is freely regulated and depends on, for example, in January there is a decrease in exports from Ukraine. If there is a decrease in exports - then smaller amount of currency enters Ukraine, and there are payments that we make abroad, "the prime minister said on the air of the ICTV channel.

According to him, for the above reasons, there is a certain imbalance, because of which the hryvnia rate is falling.

"But when everything starts working normally, when we start exporting, when the balance will be saved, then the situation decreases and everything remains within the forecasted marks Last year it was the same, "Groysman stressed.

On clarifying the question, whether he is optimistic on this issue, he said: "Absolutely."
