Government to increase financing of Ukraine's security service up to $335 million in 2019

The Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine plans to increase the financing of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) by $43 million up to $335 million as the draft state budget-2019 reported.

Thus, the expenses in the sum of $335 million are provided in the draft state budget-2019 for the SBU, including $327 million of the common fund and $7 million of the special fund. The expenses from the common fund were increased by $43 million.

Also, the Cabinet of Ministers offers to increase the financing for the training of the cadets, postgraduate students, doctoral students, skills development and refresher training of the SBU officers for $217,000. The expenses are provided in the sum of $2.3 million.

For the provision of the events in the state security sphere and activity of the bodies of the SBU system, $318 million can be allocated and for the provision of the events by the special units on the fight against organized crime and corruption, $1.4 million can be allocated.

Also, $509,000 can be allocated for the coordination of the activity on the prevention of the terrorist actions and fight against terrorism in Ukraine in 2019. $8.2 million can be allocated for the medical and health-resort treatment for the military men and SBU officers, provision of the activity of children's kindergartens and $4.2 million for the building of the apartments for the SBU officers.

Earlier we reported that the draft budget for 2019 includes expenses for the network development and maintenance of public roads in the amount of $460 million. 

Also, the draft budget $589 thousand financial assistance for the families of those who died and suffered on Maidan and those who sustained body injuries, beatings, torments during the protests.
