The work discussion of the basis of the land reform took place in the Ukrainian Government. MPs, representatives of the specialized Committees of Verkhovna Rada, directors of the specialized agrarian associations and experts of the agrarian market took part in the discussion. According to the results of the meeting, the sides agreed to create the inter-agency task group that will present the conception of the first stage of the land reform, as the press service of the Government of Ukraine reports.
Particularly, Volodymyr Groysman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine said the land market can be opened only by Ukrainians and in the volume of 200 ha per one person. For this moment, Ukrainian Government does not support the idea to sell the land to the foreigners.
The partakers of the meeting noticed that the shadow land markets already exist. Stepan Kubov, the first vice-minister emphasized that 1, 5 million hectares of land for agriculture was delivered for possession. The price of rent for one hectare was only 36 dollars.
According to the results of the meeting, the sides agreed to create the inter-agency task group that will present the conception of the first stage of the land reform. Groysman also committed a task to prepare the project to stop the miss-use in the land market of Ukraine.
The Memorandum of Cooperation between Ukraine and IMF obliges Ukraine to adopt the law of transfer of agriculture lands till the end of May 2017.
