The Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Gontareva expects the next tranche of the IMF to arrive in Ukraine in January-February 2017. She announced this at a press conference that was broadcast by the NBU official TV channel.
"We hope to receive it at the beginning of next year, somewhere in January-February, but we cannot say the exact date", said Gontareva.
Earlier, Finance Minister Olexander Danyliuk said that the failure to obtain the next tranche of the IMF before the end of the year is not critical to the national economy.
Recall that for the next tranche in the amount of 1.3 billion dollars Ukraine should carry out pension reform, optimize the system of payment of housing subsidies and develop a mechanism for increasing tariffs for gas and heating.
The NBU believe that Ukraine will not receive IMF tranche before the end of the year because of the Christmas holidays in Europe and possible delays in the adoption of the state budget of Ukraine for 2017.
