The head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Gontareva expects that the IMF will soon sign a memorandum on the resumption of cooperation with Ukraine. The head of the NBU said during a briefing.
"I do not see any prerequisites, additional conditions, which would not give us a chance to get the next tranche. The Cabinet is still finalizing the technical details, so I think that very soon we will sign a memorandum, and the IMF will announce the date of the board meeting... I have no doubt that this decision will be supported", said Gontareva.
Press service of the regulator at the same time reported that the preparation of the planned tranches under the program of Ukraine's cooperation with the IMF will increase the international reserves at the end of 2017 to 21.3 billion dollars and to $ 27.1 billion by the end of 2018.
"The further accumulation of reserves remains an important challenge for the National Bank and the government, given the high volume of external payments on the public debt until 2019", reads the report.
