Germany to allocate ICRC 7.74 million of dollars to support Ukraine

The total financing of ICRC events and projects in Ukraine by Germany will increase to 17 million of dollars in 2016-2018

The German government will provide financial support to the humanitarian events of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Ukraine in the sum of 7.74 million of dollars. The press service of the Embassy of Germany to Ukraine reported this.

The total financing of ICRC events and projects in Ukraine by Germany will increase to 17 million of dollars in 2016-2018.

Germany provides financial support for the humanitarian events within the ICRC such as support, protection, preventive actions and cooperation ties in Ukraine that are mostly held in the East of Ukraine.

The events of the project cover the medical care, traumatological treatment, support of the healthcare institutions, preventive events, food and sanitary products supply, water supply, training of the healthcare personnel and many others.

The target group of these events is the internally displaced persons with families in the communities that provided them the shelter and people suffered from the conflict on both sides of the line of demarcation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The ICRC sent 90 tons of the humanitarian aid to the occupied territories of Donetsk Region on August 24.
