Foreign investors withdraw all-time maximum $1,6 billion funds from Russia

Continuous outflow of foreign investment from the Russian market continues from the end of February

Foreign investors withdrew funds of 1,6 billion dollars from Russia over the past four months. It’s the all-time maximum outflow of investment for the last three and a half years. This was reported by Kommersant agency.

 According to agency’s estimations, based on the data of Renaissance Capital Banking company the amount of investment withdrawn over the week that ended on June 28, exceeded 83 million dollars.

Almost non-stop outflow of foreign investments from the Russian market lasts from the February end and over the past four month it exceeded 1,6 billion dollars.

“The investors' runaway is connected with unrealized expectations about the rapprochement between the US and Russia, the aggravation of the corporate conflict between Rosneft and Sistema Conglomerate company, as well as the drop in oil prices, " the newspaper writes.

As it was reported earlier Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko signed the decree to remove barriers for attraction of foreign investments. This document simplifies the rules of employment for the foreigners.
