Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that according to the Financial Times agency Ukraine took the leading place in the ratings of countries improving business climate. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"Good news, the Financial Times recognized Ukraine as the first among all countries in the world to improve the business climate. The pace of development in our country turned out to be the best, "he said.
Meanwhile, the agency itself believes that such "striking results" are largely related to the low starting point from which Ukraine set off. It also points out that the business climate in the country is steadily improving, despite remaining concerns over the rule of law and oligarchic influence on the business and political sphere of the country.
"These results will positively affect the business image of Ukraine, but they will not be able to hide the main problems that the country continues to face when attracting international investment," the rating authors state.
As it was reported earlier the European Investment Bank has agreed to provide Raiffeisen Bank Aval (Kyiv) with €12 million in guarantees to support lending to small- and medium-sized enterprises. The decision was approved on 22 December 2017, the EIB announced on its website.
