Ukraine will receive 1.8 billion euros of macro-financial assistance from the EU in three tranches. This was reported by the European Truth agency with reference to its source in Brussels.
According to the source, 1.8 billion euros is the minimum amount that Ukraine can receive from the European Union. The amount of each of the tranches will be about 600 million euros and can be increased.
Earlier, Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko announced about the agreement with the European Commission on the provision of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. A corresponding agreement was concluded at the summit of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels.
According to Poroshenko, next week the European Commission will issue a communiqué on the macro-financial assistance project for 2018-2019.
