Euro sees minor increase in price in Ukraine

International currency exchange market is closed for today, October 18. On Monday, 1 U.S. dollar cost 26.31-26.33 Ukrainian hryvnias, writes Minfin

In comparison with the previous work day, the U.S. currency got cheaper by 0.06 UAH.

Euro, on the contrary, saw a minor increase in price. Its current exchange rate makes 30.51-30.54 hryvnias per 1 euro.

Russian ruble's current rate makes 0.369 UAH per 10 RUR.

Earlier, Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko stated that high prices for gas in Europe are the reason for extra fiscal risks for Kyiv. Due to this, it is necessary to develop clarifications to the State Budget for 2022 and the talks on this issue are held with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as RBK-Ukraine reported.

“We have quite productive discussions within the mission (the IMF, - We hold the talks very actively. Now, the issue of the fiscal risks has appeared due to the high price of gas. This is the story, which requires extra consultations. If we talk about the budget and issues in the authority of the Finance Ministry, there are moments, which need the specification in the budget for 2022,” Marchenko stated.
