The EU offers Ukraine the loan worth 54 million Euros for the effective work of the Energy Efficiency Fund; the sum is, respectively, to be used for the development of energy efficiency in this country. Hennadiy Zubko, the minister of Regional Development, Construction and Households posted that on Facebook.
'The EU will allocate the next tranche in the amount of 54 million Euros for the work of Energy Efficiency Fund', he wrote.
The official added that the deal will be signed by late 2018.
The European Commission confirmed that piece of information on Tuesday.
As we reported earlier, the Ukrainian government has introduced a joint program with the EU on financing the Energy Efficiency Fund to the tune of €268 million. According to the press service of the Ministry for Regional Development, the European Union expects to contribute some €50 million in assistance to Ukraine in 2018, and another €54 million in 2019.
Also, the press service of the institution reminded that the state budget of Ukraine is providing the Energy Efficiency Fund with $61.5 million in funding in 2018.
