EU to allocate 25 million Euros for devlopment of digital economy in Ukraine

The European Union will allocate 25 million Euros to Ukraine for development of the digital economy and electronic governance as the President’s Office reported.

This issue was discussed during the meeting of President’s Advisor Mykhailo Fedorov with representative of Support Group from Ukraine in European Commission Frank Paul, EU representative Martin Klaucke and Coordinator of Reform of State Governance’s Office to EU Serhiy Dobry.

Mykhailo Fedorov presented the digital plan of actions on State in Smartphone to the European partners during the meeting.

The representatives of the European Commission reported the preparation of the international project of support for Ukraine in the sum of $25 million for development of digital economy and electronic governance. Besides, they provided the recommendations to the concept of State in the smartphone.

As we reported, the EU is ready to allocate the next tranche of the Fourth program of the macro-financial aid in the sum of 500 million euros to Ukraine after fulfillment of necessary conditions.

Head of the EU Delegation in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said Ukraine could get the second tranche of EU macro-financial aid in the amount of 500 million Euros. This is possible to happen by late 2019.
