The Commerical Court of the High Court of Justice (England) has obliged Russia's Gazprom company to pay the court 145 million U.S. dollars. This would be part of the sum of the dividends considered to be the guarantee that the authority's decision would be implemented.
The press office of Naftogaz-Ukraine company reported that on July 5; the actual decision was made last month, as the Court considered the Ukrainian side's lawsuit against Russia. The authority took into account the extended term of the appeal consideration, as Russia protested against the decision of Stockholm arbitrary court.
The Commerical Court also obliges the Russian energy monopolist to get the court's or the Ukrainian side's approval every time the Nord Stream shareholders decide to pay the dividends.
In March 2019, the court obliged Gazprom not to conceal its assets and not to withdraw them from the jurisdictions of England and the Netherlands. Besides, Gazprom is bounded to pay 200 million U.S. dollars as the guarantee that the court decision is implemented.
