Electricity price for households to remain the same, - Ukraine's PM

The government will not raise the price of electricity for the population until June 30. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"The price of electricity for the population remains at UAH 1.68 ($ 0,062) per kWh. The government extends the regime of PSO (Public Service Obligations) until June 30. In addition, under the new rules, the state-owned companies Energoatom and Ukrhydroenerho will sell electricity directly to universal service suppliers under bilateral agreements, without an intermediary in the form of SE Guaranteed Buyer,”  Shmyhal said.

Meanwhile, Ukraine intends to build high-speed electric charging stations and points on the most popular routes: Kyiv - Lviv, Kyiv - Odesa, and Kyiv - Dnipro. This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy during Ukraine 30 forum.

"We must be prepared when Elon Musk decides to visit Zhytomyr and check if there is a charging station. Therefore, we are making a special program of state support that will allow building high-speed charging stations and points on the most popular routes," Krykliy said.
