The European Investment Bank (EIB) plans to allocate 89.5 million to Ukraine of dollars for road traffic safety in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro and Kharkiva\ as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
According to the information, the loan will finance the infrastructure of the city transport to further road traffic safety for the drivers, particularly, for the bikers and passers-by.
'The investments can decrease the sideways financial expenses connected with the bad road traffic safety additionally to the increasing of the safety and reduction of the number of the casualties. Also, the investments will positively influence the economic development of the regions', the EIB noted.
The sum of the supposed EIB financing is 89.5 million of dollars and the total cost of the project is 211 million of dollars.
