The President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti claimed that bank will support the implementations of reforms in Ukraine and emphasized the importance of the justice, land and court reforms implementation. He claimed this at Ukraine Reform Conference in London as the EBRD website reported.
‘EBRD as the friend and honest partner of Ukraine will support and urge to implement the essential reforms, including justice, land and court reforms’, Chakrabarti claimed.
He also said, that ‘We are the largest investor in the country. The aggregative index shows 13.6 billion of dollars. We opened the new offices in Kharkiv and Odesa during the last year.
Chakrabarti emphasized that the basis of the stable economic growth is created in Ukraine.
‘At the moment the basis of the stable economic growth is created in Ukraine. The bank and the energy sectors were reformed. The country wins from the macro-economic stability and in the same time when the growth is too small-scale. The situation of the state purchasing cannot be compared to the previous’, he noted.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman raised the issue of the support of the Ukrainian business at the EBRD meeting.
