2019 draft state budget includes expenses for the disposal of ammunition in the amount of $19,07 million. This sum is provided in the state budget for the next year within the expenses for Defence Ministry.
The budget program “Disposal of ammunition, liquid propelling agents, armament, military equipment and other military property, provision of endurance and fire and explosion safety of the arsenals, bases and storages of the Ukrainian Armed Forces” provides the expenses in the amount of $18,19 million under the general fund of the state budget and $882,000 – under the special one.
“These means are to be allocated for the measures on disposal of simple kinds of ammunition, unsuitable for the further usage and storage, disposal of the armament, military equipment and other military properties and on the provision of the conditions safe for the population and commercial facilities in case of emergency situations on the arsenals, bases and storages of armament, missiles and ammunition of Ukraine’s Armed Forces,” the note to the bill says.
Reportedly, the 2018 budget provides expenses for the Defence Ministry in the amount of $3 billion, $2,1 of which – for the support of the Armed Forces.
