The Commercial Court of Kyiv has delayed the consideration of the lawsuit by Ihor Kolomoysky and Triantal Investments Ltd. The lawsuit concerns the purchase of Privatbank by Ukraine's Finance Ministry. The document will not be taken for consideration until April 16. Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported that on April 9.

The sale and purchase agreement, signed between the Finance Ministry and the bank's shareholders was signed in December 2016. Kolomoysky, the oligarch who supports comedian Volodymyr Zelensky in his electoral campaign asked the court to recognize this document invalid. He also demands to give him Privatbank's shares back. The court granted this motion.

The Finance Ministry requested that the court leave this lawsuit without consideration; the request was declined.

Earlier, Kolomoysky, the Ukrainian oligarch and former owner of Privatbank, demanded to give him back two billion U.S. dollars of the bank's assets. He might, in turn, give up this financial institution. Kolomoysky said that in his interview with Ekonomichna Pravda

'I don't get the government's position. Do they want to keep Privatbank? Let them. I don't need Privatbank. But there were 2 billion dollars of assets. Let them return it, and we're good,' Kolomoysky said.
