National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) approved the conditions of the Clear Junction payment system's entrance to the Ukrainian market. The NBU made the respective decision on January 13, the press office of the Ukrainian authority reported.
Thus, the British financial entity became the 13th payment system owned by a non-Ukrainian resident that enjoys official registration in Ukraine.
National Bank of Ukraine admitted that Clear Junction's entrance to the Ukrainian market will be instrumental in the development of payment systems and ease the money transfers to Ukraine from abroad, as well as the payments conducted by foreigners who work in Ukraine.
Clear Junction was originally established in the UK in 2016, and currently it works in 31 countries of the European economic zone.
As we reported, on January 13, Ukraine accepted the IBAN banking standard. The respective decree was made by the National Bank board. The number of bank account will consist of 29 symbols: UA (2), check position (2), bank code (6), the account itself (it's not something fixed; before November 2019, it was from five to 14 symbols, and since November 2019, it turned into from five to 19 symbols).
