Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional 11,9 million dollars to expand the program of affordable housing for IDPs and Joint Forces Operation (JFO) veterans. The government announced this at the meeting in Mariupol, Donetsk region, according to its press service.
By the end of 2019, these funds will help to build affordable housing in the suburban areas of Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv for about 950 families, 700 of which are families of internally displaced persons and about 200 families of ATO/JFO participants.
The government also approved a document that would allow Ukraine to join the Declaration of School Safety. This will increase the safety of students in schools, in particular in the areas bordering with the territory of the Joint Forces Operation.
As we reported earlier, on October 20, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the state program for the development of the Ukrainian Carpathian region for 2020-2022. This was reported by the press service of the government.
The program is aimed at improving the social and economic development of the Ukrainian Carpathians, increasing transport accessibility of certain mountainous areas and includes a wide range of issues.
