British Supreme Court has refuted the lawsuit by Ukrainian oligarchs Ihor Kolomoysky and Hennadiy Boholyubov, who previously owned Privatbank. The businessmen wanted to appeal against the decision of the Appeal Court that confirmed that the British side has enough jurisdiction to consider the bank's suit against the former owners.
The press service of the bank reported that as quoted by Strana.ua.
The Supreme Court confirmed that the appeal of the oligarchs will be refuted "since the appeals do not concern the issues of the law that should be considered currently".
Now, the former owners of Privatbank will have to return the expenses that the bank suffered.
"Thus, Mr. Kolomoysky and Mr. Bogolyubov... have no more ways to appeal, so the bank's lawsuit will be considered in the High Court of London. The Bank is sure that eventually, it will be able to get back over three billion dollars", Privatbank's representatives commented on the court's decision.
