The rally kicks off at the Novi Yarilovichi and Domanovo checkpoints.
"Near two checkpoints on the border with Belarus there are insignificant groups of people - at the Novi Yarilovichi there are about 40 people and at Domanovo about 10 people. They protest against the Belarusian regime, they behave peacefully, they do not carry out any provocations and the movement transport is not blocked," said Demchenko.
Demchenko noted that calls were spread through various channels to the citizens of Belarus in Ukraine to support their country, including with the possible blocking of roads.
“We have organized cooperation with police officers. At the moment, the protesters do not create obstacles to the movement, they behave peacefully,” Demchenko added.
The organizer of the protest actions is the Belarusian movement People's Anti-Crisis Management, which is coordinated by opposition leader Pavel Latushko.
The protesters demand from the European Union to speed up the introduction of powerful and large-scale sanctions against the regime of Alexander Lukashenko. And Lukashenko himself is demanded to return the Belarusians the opportunity to leave the country by land, release political prisoners and hold new fair elections.
