Anti-Corruption Bureau raids state-owned enterprises in Odesa

Today, on 29 January, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau is raiding a state-owned enterprises in Odesa, as a result of which 10 individuals have been detained. Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau said this during the press conference of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Just now, a group of 70 officials left for Odesa, where a number of raids are taking place, with 10 individuals being detained. This regards one of the state-owned enterprises, where losses amount to over $6 million”, - Sytnyk said.

Local agency Dumskaya, citing its own sources in law enforcement authorities, reports that the enterprise being raided is in fact the Administration of seaports of Ukraine and its branches.

The Bureau’s detectives earlier raided the apartment of the Deputy Head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine Dina Pimakhova.

According to, the raids are part of the ongoing investigation into possible offences pertaining to the procurement of dredging services in the Berdiansk and Mariupol seaports in 2015 and 2016”, - the message reads.

The Bureau’s officials claim that the Administration of seaports of Ukraine procured the dredging services of ship channels and water areas of the Berdyansk and Mariupol seaports. As a result of tenders, agreements were signed with OOO Irida, OOO Tekhmorgidrostroy Nikolaev and OOO Inflot-Danubius Agency. However, the contract prices were almost twice higher than factual.
