The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is conducting searches at Bohdan Motors Automobile Company located on Rybalskyi Island in Kyiv, as the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency reports, referring to its own sources.
“The searches are being held within the so-called Ukreximbank case,” the source informs.
It is reported that according to the other source the searches are also held in the bank itself.
Bohdan Motors confirmed the information, explaining that such procedures are politically motivated. According to the company, the issue is about the loan restructuring.
“We repeatedly and openly talked about having taken the loan for building factories, but being in conditions of catastrophic failure of the car market, financial crisis, devaluation of hryvnia, absence of the state support and financing led to the fact that the company was not able to serve the loan and the bank made advances for us,” the press secretary of the corporation Serhiy Krasulia said.
Furthermore, the company states that the searches endanger corporate implementation of the contracts related to buses and trolleybuses supply to municipalities.
