American guided missile destroyer USS Gravely (DDG-107) has passed the Great Belt and entered the Baltic Sea moving along the German coast as reported.

This vessel enters the Baltic Sea for the second time in 2019. Earlier it was reported about its arrival in January.

USS Gravely is the leader of the First permanent naval group of NATO, 57th out of 62 destroyers of the fourth generation with guided missile weaponry of Arleigh Burke type. Its construction was approved by U.S. Congress.

Cruise missiles Tomahawk are its main weapon. Its range is up to 2,500 km and it can carry the nuclear charges.

As we reported U.S. Navy's missile destroyer Donald Cook arrived at the port of Odesa and moored at the 16th pier near the Sea Port.

The destroyer is a part of the “Atlantic determination” mission. The mission’s aim is to strengthen coordination between the NATO partners and to maintain security in the region, according to the report.

Besides, it was monitored by the forces of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
