The Government of Ukraine reached agreement in principle on a gradual advance in price for gas to the level of import parity to 2020 at the negotiations with IMF, as Andriy Kobolyev, Naftogaz Head, said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“There is a preliminary compromise the Government reached (with the IMF, - ed.). The speed is being discussed now,” he said.

According to Naftogaz Head, the question of gas price is a key element in the talks conducted with IMF.

At the same time, Kobolev noted that he was not sure that the figures announced by media on the first stage (23,5-25%, - ed.) are right.

Earlier, the representatives of the Finance Ministry stated that Ukraine has fulfilled most of its obligations before the IMF.

Reportedly, on Thursday, September 6, the IMF mission began in Ukraine. It will last will September 19. Volodymyr Groysman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, promised to report on the results of the talks with the representatives in two weeks.
