The Government intends to allocate $589 thousand financial assistance for the families of those who died and suffered on Maidan and those who sustained body injuries, beatings, torments during the protests, as the draft of 2019 the state budget provides.
“The bill on State budget of Ukraine for 2019 provides $589 thousand for one-time cash assistance for the families of those who died during the mass protests which were held in the period of November 21, 2013 – February 21, 2014 and those who sustained body injuries, beatings, torments,” the note to the bill says.
Moreover, the Cabinet of Ministers offers the Verkhovna Rada to adopt 2019 State Budget with the expenses for the psychological rehabilitation, social and professional adaptation, provision of health-resort treatment for the victims of the Revolution of Dignity and those who took measures on provision of the national security and defence, rebuff and suppression of Russian armed aggression in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the amount of $3,9 million.
In February, 2018 a law on pensions for families of those who died on Maidan came into force. The document provides amendments to the law on compulsory state pension insurance according to which the wives/husbands of the died on Maidan have a right for having a pension according to the age, if they did not get married again. This decision concerns children who became physically challenged while juvenile and the parents of the deceased.
