German police arrested the alleged accomplice of Anis Amri, a suspect in the terrorist attack in Berlin. This was reported by the Spiegel Online newspaper.

40-year-old Tunisian, who lives in Berlin, was arrested.

Early in the morning on Wednesday police conducted a search in the area of Tempelhof, where a possible accomplice was detained.

The publication notes that he was reached after analyzing data from a mobile phone, which belonged to Amri.

The prosecutor's office will consider issuing a warrant for the suspect's arrest.

As it was reported earlier, Anis Amri, suspected of committing a terrorist attack at the Christmas fair in Berlin was shot in Milan.
