National Joint Stock Company “Naftogaz-Ukraine” considers an option to import gas from LNG terminals in Poland and Lithuania (Interfax-Ukraine). It is one of the possible ways to supply gas to Ukraine from abroad, and the company considers other options, reads the message.
In 2015, Naftogaz increased import of gas from the EU to 9.2 billion cubic metres, compared with 4.9 billion in 2014. At the same time, the volume of gas supplies from Russia decreased from 14.7 billion cubic metres in 2014 to 6 billion in 2015.
Most recently, Ukrtransgaz company created a counter that counts how much days Ukraine lives without Russian gas supplies.
