Ukraine will need to allocate an estimated EUR 10 million to host Eurovision next year. According to officials the majority of the sum will be paid from state coffers and only 10 percent will be covered by the song contest’s sponsors.

“Looks like the most serious expenses will concern the venue of this event. We don’t have a proper platform that would meet the requirements of such contest. But the capital’s infrastructure is better than that in the regions, so odds are the Eurovision-2017 final will take place in Kyiv”, said Olexandr Mazurchak, Ukraine’s First Deputy Head of City State Administration.
