From March 30 till April 1 Amsterdam will for the first time hold Ukrainian Cinema Days “Ukraine on Film: Way to Freedom”. The event will be held in the capital of the Netherlands a week before the referendum on the Association between Ukraine and the European Union, scheduled on April 6.
The idea of the film festival is to show documentary movies, depicting memorable events for Ukraine, including classical silent movies like “The 11th” directed by Dzyha Vertov and films from international festivals “The Russian Woodpecker” by Chag Gracia and “Winter on Fire” by Yevhen Afanasievskyi.
