A new checkpoint 'Zolote' opened in Luhansk region at the Ukrainian side despite the attacks and permanent attempts to wreck the opening of the checkpoint by the pro-Russian militants as the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported at Facebook.

''Zolote' checkpoint starts to work from the side that is under control of the Ukrainian government for people who live in the so-called 'grey 'zone. It will be the only checkpoint in Luhansk region after the fully-realized beginning of the work and it will provide the vehicular traffic', the message said.

The demining of the territory was held jointly by the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center of Control and Coordination (JCCC) and Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Staff noted the temporary conditions for the crossing of the border at the demarcation line through the corridor 'Stakhanov-Zolote-Girne-Lysychansk'.

The traffic lines for the movement of the vehicles and corridors for the pedestrians are created for the flawless work if the checkpoint from the Ukrainian side.

'Unfortunately, there is no confirmation that all necessary procedures are fulfilled from the side of the occupied Donbas for the fully-realized work of the checkpoint from their side. The Ukrainian side of the JCCC notes that the delaying of the fully-realized work of the checkpoint from the side of occupied Donbas is the direct evidence that the occupation authorities thoughtlessly regard towards the citizens of the regions and they do not want to improve the conditions of their life. They neglectfully treat the taken responsibilities at the negotiations of the Trilateral Contact Group', the message said.

Earlier it was reported that the pro-Russian militants of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) again wrecked the opening of 'Zolote' checkpoint in Luhansk region.  The Ukrainian border guards took their stands at the checkpoint but the signal about the readiness to pass people did not come from the illegal military formations.
