President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked heads of the Normandy Four member countries to meet as soon as possible after the recent news about Ukraine's combat casualties in Donbas. He left the respective post on his Facebook page.
"I urge Emmanuel Macron, Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin, the leaders of Normandy Four member countries to convene for the resumption of the talks as soon as possible", he wrote. "Four Ukrainian military servicemen deceased near Pavlopol after the attack from a man-portable grenade launcher... Today's incident aims to undermine not only this ceasefire but also the negotiation process on the whole. Ukraine wants peace sincerely. And our aspiration remains. Today, the entire world saw who does not want peace", Zelensky wrote.
He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased defenders of Ukraine. "We will not stop working on ceasing military actions, and we will not leave any attack on our servicemen unanswered. Ukraine will surely be the united and peaceful state", the president concluded.
