President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working trip to Donbas. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.
"The head of state will visit the frontline positions where the regime of a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire has been systematically violated recently and where Ukrainian defenders were killed and wounded as a result of enemy shelling. Volodymyr Zelensky is going to Donbas as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to talk with the military servicemen and support the morale of the defenders," the message says.
As we reported earlier, an escalation of the situation has been observed in Donbas recently. Since the beginning of this day alone, the militants have violated the ceasefire five times. A sailor of the military unit A2802 Denys Yushko, born in 1998, died from a gunshot bullet wound.
On April 7, the HQ reported that the occupants violated the ceasefire regime seven times. Near Pisky and Opytne, the militants opened fire from 82 mm and 120 mm mortars; near Hnutove, Shyrokyno, Talakovka and Vodyane, they used various grenade launchers and small arms.
