Russia has seen sending the brand new military vehicles, weaponry, and hardware to the frontline in eastern Ukraine, which is why it takes a lot more than an hour to end the conflict in Donbas. Iryna Gerashchenko, the First Deputy Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament said this commenting on the recent statement by Alexander Hug, OSCE SMM deputy head in Ukraine.
'One has to remind Mr. Hug that the OSCE monitoring mission, headed by Mr. Apakan and himself has been mentioning in their weekly official reports the presence of the brand new Russian radars, tanks, and other vehicles. The Russian ones, not the Soviet ones. You can't buy it at a local market or just draw a Russian flag over the Soviet star,' she said.
The Ukrainian official underlined that the Ukrainian side has been paying a lot of efforts to reduce the number of Russian representatives in the OSCE SMM in Ukraine. 'Now, it is smaller than before, and the observers immediately began to 'see' the Russian military vehicles', Gerashchenko concluded.
Hug is about to leave the office of OSCE SMM deputy head in Ukraine; he is supposed to step down on October 31.
