The supply of drinking water to the "Luhansk People’s Republic" may be terminated on December 1 because of debts on payment of the bills for electricity, which enables water stations in the region to work. This was reported by the former head of Luhansk military and civil administration, the Deputy Minister of occupied territories Georgiy Tuka on his Facebook page.
"The agreement (with the ICRC on payment of electricity bills, - Ed.) expires on December 1, afterwards Ukraine will have no other way than to cut off the water supply at all," Tuka said.
According to him, an agreement in Minsk was reached regarding the establishment of the Ukrainian company, which will provide payments for consumed water, as "the authority of LPR" takes money from residents for electricity, but nobody paid Ukrainian government. Moreover, water supply for people was reduced by 3 hours for two days in total, telling that "villainous junta" was to blame, Tuka said. He believes that all this was done in order to "sow hatred among the population in Ukraine and accuse Ukrainian government of “genocide of the Russian people".
