Another water pipeline break is observed in Donbas, which left residents of five settlements without any access to water supplies. Press office of Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that on January 6.
The break took place at Horlivka-Toretsk pipeline, which reaches 900 mm in diameter. The incident occurred on January 4. Residents of Toretsk, Zalizne, Pivnichne, Pivdenne and Shcherbynivka are now staying without water supplies; that's some 38,000 people in total.
Workers of Voda Donbasu water utility company will inspect the pipeline and repair it as soon as safety guarantees are provided. "On January 5, units of the State Emergency Service brought 13 cubic meters of water, eight cubic meters of these were drinking water", reads the message.
Eight people and three vehicles are involved in reparation works.
On January 5, Russian mercenaries did not breach the ceasefire in Donbas combat area. Press office of Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Tuesday.
"No ceasefire violations were observed along the entire division line", reads the message.
During the day, Ukrainian combat engineers cleared four hectares of area from landmines and passed 75 explosive items for firther safe destruction.
