Political party Golos (The Voice in Ukrainian, - 112 International) led by Svyatoslav Vakarchuk is about to hold the convocation session on June 7. The personal line-up of the electoral list will be approved; as is known, the party will be running for the Parliament.
Vakarchuk, the lead singer of Okean Elzy rock band, offered to set certain limits when recruiting the new members for the party. For one, no lawmakers from the current convocation of the Parliament will be allowed in the new party. Besides, future MPs should have no ties with the pro-Russian political forces, the banned Communist Party of Ukraine or the regime of the ousted ex-President Viktor Yanukovych. Finally, the candidates for membership in Holos must meet the requirements of the anti-corruption legal framework and the law about screening government officials.
'Those lawmakers whom the voters already trust for their effective work and dignity will gain the support of Golos in electoral districts', the party's press office reported'.
