The conflict in Donbas will get worse, unless the U.S. takes action. Kurt Volker, the Special Envoy of the U.S. Department of the State said that in his interview with Financial Times.

According to him, the U.S. administration seriously considers the possibility to give Ukraine lethal weapons. ‘Russia wants to freeze the conflict in Donbas; but it will have to get over the international isolation’, Volker said.

According to the diplomat, U.S.-Russia relations are essential, but they will continue to deteriorate unless Russia withdraws its troops from Ukraine.
