Washington urges Moscow to use its influence on pro-Kremlin militants, controlling part of Ukrainian Donbas, so that they do not engage OSCE mission observers anymore. The aggressive acts of intimidation like the one that took place recently should cease; Heather Nauert, the official spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State said that commenting on the incident that took place earlier this week.

‘We urge Russia to adhere to its commitments in terms of full and safe access for OSCE observers,’ Nauert said, adding that the Russia-sponsored and Russia-trained separatists were the ones behind the attack.

According to her, the U.S. is deeply concerned with the repeated cases of persecutions of OSCE monitors in Donbas, as it prevents them from doing their job there.
