The U.S. government condemned the attack on Ukrainian positions near Pavlopol, which resulted in deaths of four servicemen. Kurt Volker, the Special Representative of the U.S.Department of the State in Ukraine posted that on Twitter.
"Extremely disappointed with new ceasefire violations, leading to 4 Ukrainian soldiers killed by Russian led forces — especially at a time when the new Ukrainian President is making gestures for peace", reads the post.
The four Ukrainian warriors who lost their lives in combat in Donbas were the Marines. They were killed in action on August 6, as Russian occupants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian positions in the combat area; press office of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that.
Most of the skirmishes occurred in Donetsk region. The enemy opened fire from IFVs, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In one case, they fired 120 mm mortars banned by Minsk agreements.
